DIANA FERARIU

A letter to my younger self

STOP PLAYING IT SAFE

The thing is that the world out there is not like you imagine, is not made of sugar and honey. It has a little bit of everything. How many people there are so many different perceptions are. Each one in its own universe, with their own realities, sufferings, perceptions, expectations.

And so are you. Your own fragile way of seeing life, your own expectations of how life is suppose to be, to happen. Let go of the need to have control, get out there, out of the comfort zone and the “roads” that seem familiar to you. Explore new ways, stop living in fear and making yourself small just to have the fake feeling that you belong.

Dig deeper, root into yourself. Don’t let nobody tell you what you should be or not be. Be shamelessly yourself. Allow people to be how they truly are without letting it affect you.

STOP WASTING TIME

You probably think you have plenty of time ahead of you. You do but just by thinking that you have, it will change nothing. Change needs action and action needs a disciplined mind.

Take that course you said you’ll do, do more sports, just do it, whatever comes to your mind, start creating. Every day. One step at a time. Make the time count, each second, minute, day. Its your time. Use it wisely.

The hardest situations sculpt our wiser, kinder and resilient self. The world is a place full of distractions, make sure to hold tight and don’t lose sight of what is important for you.

And in all this chaos, learn how to be. How to be still, how to be relaxed, how to be happy, vulnerable, soft, strong, how to be motivated. Whatever you feel like you want to be.

As nature is teaching us, just be.

Kindly,

Your future self 🖤
